Since 2006, he has been a reporter and expert for ARD on doping and sports policy at major sporting events such as the Olympic Games. He is also a producer and author of TV formats on socio-political topics.
Awarded for revelations about state doping in Russia, doping in athletics, cycling, child doping and homophobia in the Catholic Church.

Ever since his revelations about Russian state doping in 2014, Hajo Seppelt has been synonymous with investigative journalism with a focus on sports. In 2017, he founded the production company EyeOpening.Media.
The company is known for producing award-winning factual documentaries and features in the field of investigative quality journalism. Numerous high-quality documentaries have already been published under the label "Geheimsache Doping". But the portfolio goes further than doping, of which the documentary "Wie Gott uns Schuf - Coming out in der katholische Kirche" is an example.
Since 2022, the rbb podcast "Geheimsache Doping" by Hajo Seppelt and radioeins presenter Kerstin Hermes has been working on the most exciting doping cases in history and research by the ARD doping editorial team.
